About The Phone Market
The Phone Market is a marketplace for devices offered by independent sellers. The platform operator is The Phone Market, 58 James Street, Bradford, BD1 3PZ. Contact info@thephonemarket.co.uk for marketplace support. The seller identified on a listing supplies the device and must provide its business identity, contact details and applicable sale terms before accepting payment.
Current purchase process
The website currently accepts purchase requests only. Submitting a request does not collect payment, reserve stock or confirm a sale. The buyer’s account email is shared with the relevant seller so they can arrange the proposed purchase. Confirm the seller, specifications, delivery arrangements, return process and final amount before paying. Automated checkout and seller payouts are not connected.
Listings, condition and accessories
Sellers must describe models, storage, condition, battery health, accessories and stock accurately. Catalogue pictures are model references; seller photos show the actual device where supplied. Cosmetic condition grades do not guarantee battery health or other specifications. Covers and screen protectors are optional and may be free or priced separately.
Pricing and delivery
Listings show device prices in pounds sterling. Selected accessories and the seller’s stated delivery charge are included in the displayed request total. Sellers can offer free standard delivery or charge postage. Any tax treatment, delivery restrictions and delivery estimate must be disclosed by the seller before a purchase is agreed.
Seller accounts and marketplace commission
Sellers require owner approval before listing. New and edited listings are reviewed before publication. The current commission is displayed in the seller dashboard and recorded when a purchase request is created. It applies to the device and selected accessories, excluding delivery. Payment-provider fees are separate. The proposed ten-day batch payout system is not active.
Reviews and acceptable use
Reviews are permitted for the buyer’s own purchase after it is recorded as completed. Users must not submit fraudulent listings, stolen devices, misleading descriptions, abusive reviews or images containing another person’s private information. An IMEI model match does not verify ownership, authenticity or blocked-device status.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes applicable consumer rights. Where a UK consumer purchases online from a business seller, cancellation and faulty-goods rights apply as set out in the Shipping and Returns Policy. These terms do not create a blanket 30-day free-return promise or a marketplace-wide one-year commercial warranty.
